Most lead-gen budgets are not lost at the ad — they are lost in the first 72 hours after the form. This swipe file is the sequence we install, in the voice of your business.
The five-minute rule
A lead contacted within five minutes is dramatically more likely to convert than one contacted in an hour. Automation exists to make five minutes possible at any hour — not to replace the human, but to guarantee the human arrives fast.
Touch 1 — Instant (SMS + email)
SMS: “Hi {{first_name}}, this is {{business}}. Got your request about {{service}} — I'm reading it now. Quick question so I can give you a real answer: {{qualifying question}}?”
Email: Short confirmation, what happens next, direct reply line and a calendar link. No logos the size of billboards.
Touch 2 — 2 hours later (call)
Call script: reference what they asked, answer it, propose the next concrete step (quote, assessment, visit). Voicemail script that names the specific request — never “just calling you back.”
Touch 3 — Next morning (SMS)
One useful thing: a relevant checklist, a similar job photo, or the answer to the question they didn't ask but always have.
Touch 4 — Day 3 (email)
The honest close: “Should I keep your file open, or did you go another direction? Either is fine — one word back and I'll know.”
Rules: personalize every merge field before sending; stop the sequence the moment they reply; log outcomes so the sequence improves monthly.
